A softly flattened Japanese ceramic vessel with an ivory crackle glaze and a delicate scene of quail, chrysanthemums, grasses, and foliage. Muted coral, green, taupe, yellow, lavender, and restrained gilt details sit quietly against the aged cream surface.
Its narrow three inch depth makes it especially effective on a shallow shelf, mantel, or console where a conventional round vase would feel too heavy.
