A whimsical Japanese ceramic donkey pulls a small open cart in a compact sculptural form. The expressive gray and black glaze, pale cart, peach wheels, and lightly worn yellow details give it the charm of a collected object rather than a novelty.
The open cart can hold a very small dried arrangement, matches, or simply remain empty. A Japan mark is visible inside the cart.
